Introduction
Welcome to Web Team News (our classroom web site). This is a program developed back in 1999, by Naomi A. Vazquez of N.V.U.S., Inc., also an educator at Hanson Park School in Chicago at present. Web Team News is a program in which educational and social development go hand in hand. The program is tailored to focus on academics and the "whole" child, which means that every child will find a purpose and a positive environment in which to develop that purpose.
Web Team News has been a tried and tested program since 1999 with hundreds of success stories throughout the years. References available upon request! ;) It started with 10 students and grew to over 300 members in 2004. Many of my students have gone on to even study web design, but the all have gone on to be happy and positive individuals in their lives, that are pursuing their dreams in life. Before entering Web Team, they felt life had no purpose or excitement and now know differently. After a brief hiatus, Ms. Vazquez decided to re-establish Web Team because of the tough times that students were going through, she felt they needed this boost to their education. As of 2011, the program was started again and established as "WEB TEAM NEWS RETURNS".
Our Classroom
Our beautiful classroom includes refurbished technology, and age-appropriate materials for our students in their various academic levels (provided free of charge by N.V.U.S., Inc.). Ms. Vazquez has over 20 years of experience in computer repair and software design, as well as web design. Our experienced and skilled classroom staff (Ms. Stamps & Ms. Hopkins) work together with Ms. Vazquez, as a team, to guide your child through his or her academic journey and their involvement in the Web Team.
